Whilst I havent been posting many pictures, I havent been idle. I have been on "site, keeping up to date { I think} with all of your pics and news, but I have also been "digging for spring. The veggie plot, has now been totally dug over and spread with manure, which I have been backwards and forward to collect from the local stables….Its all covered now, ready to start warming up I hope, ready for its next dig over for its final levelling out {sort of} ready for planting out all my veg. Phew…it was so rewrding to get out there in the mud. It really made me feel like spring is on its way…

The only disappointment was that while i did all that digging, not one little robin paid me a visit…..tut

Wow, what an achievement so early in the year. Bet all the robins were too frightened in case they were given a spade and told to dig in!

Well done Milky.

Nice job Milky, a little backache lets you know you're still alive,
The foundations are laid for a great growing season,

Wow. Milky. You've done a good job there. Well done. Maybe the robins were afraid you would conscript them into helping with the digging???

That's great Maureen. You'll have loads of nice fresh vegetables this year .

Hmmm - my robin makes an appearance within five minutes whenever I start work outside. Perhaps your garden is 'vacant territory' and maybe a 'For sale' sign for robins is needed?

Thank you all for your comments, and yes it was a bit back aching to get it done. I dont know why the robins weren't around, because there were so many worms he could have had a real feast. Any other time we can see them in and out of the fruit trees and hedges, and bobbing about....Never mind.....the job is done now til March..ish....

Certainly is Spritz/Majeek ...I was aching and my wrists were playing up [Arthritis] but I felt soo good, just to be out and doing in the garden. It was worth it, and the pre planting dig will be a lot easier now....

Youve done a great job there Milky , you will be rewarded with some wonderful flavoursome veg.
I hope you had a nice long soak in the tub afterwards ........
A shame about the Robins , maybe somebody else was digging nearby and they were already feasting ........:o)

You mean my worms weren't good enough Amy?....he he he

Just what will you be growing in those beautifully dug plots Milky, we dont have enough room for veg, so will look at yours instead, have you tried a bracelet to help with your arthritis, hubby and I wear them, although mine is a magnet one, and you do have to renew them fairly often.

We shall be growing Toms Peas, Beans Onions Caulis, Broccoli, Beetroot, Carrotts and Parsnips, plus lettuce stuck in anywhere I can find. Then we have Raspberry canes and Loganberries all along the chain Link , and the other side of the path, that you cant see is a huge strawberry bed that my Grand daughters raid as soon as the spot the 1st red one. Yes I do wear a madnet bangle as well, but they look so awful so quickly, and I dont know if I like having a green /black wrist he he he
