I love the early morning so quiet - just me and the birds.

I agree with everyone, it is so nice in the early hours when we have this kind of weather. I too have been getting up at 5 or 6 and sitting having coffee on the patio and pootling about a bit. I was even walking the streets last week at 3 with the dogs because I couldn't sleep and it was light enough.
As for the watering I generally end up doing that somewhere between 10 and midnght
I think maybe gardeners have weird internal timeclocks :~))

Great aren't they.? Did anyone get a really heavy downpour, yesterday evening?
It was bouncing here, and the gutters were overflowing,it was so heavy..I was just about to water the garden too,so it came at the right time..and everything looks so good today :o)))).Glad I had staked,or tied up a lot of plants,as I have been caught out before, and nothing was flattened,so even better....

My hubby gets up for work at midnight so I `m rarely in bed before 1am, sometimes later, consequently I now miss the sunrise most of the time but agree its a lovely time to be up and about........Here on lincs /rutland border we`ve had scorching few days but a thunder storm and rain at min, I think somebody is getting it bad as its lighting up the sky nicely .. 11-30pm...Oh and Brynner is scared and trying to sit on my lap.LOL....
