Hi all as some of you may know by now i like my evening fires when it gets chilly. When my grandchildren was over last weekend and with our dog bonnie getting into everything i thought it was a bit dangerous for them all having the wood about as it was unstable .Hence i built this today to store it all in and to keep everyone safe.

And it looks a sight better :))))

Bonnie helping me get the wood out of the car NOT lol:)))

Chosen spot

Here Goes

Stained sides just needs the lid

All done. What a good job i have done for you dad lol:)))

Phew all tired out now after a hard days work (and playing ) lol:))))))

Absolutely perfect! Mark, you must be tied to the tree, otherwise you cannot rest, lol.
Beautiful thing, I would use it as a storage box as well as a bench. I love those handles.
Great work, Mark.

great piece of work!

going slightly off-topic, how do you hold the troughs on the fence above the box? hooks, or are their supports underneath the bases?

Hi Katarina yes your right i cannot sit down for one minute. The handles was made from a old birdbox stand which i sanded and restained:))))

Hi Paulspond have you got the same dog as me a jack russell?:))))

Hi Surreylad yes she was a great help NOT lol she kept stealing the wood lol.:))))

Hi Grandmage i did let dad help me lol:))))

Hi Fran all i did with the planters on the fence was i screwed them directly to the fence panels then i put a piece of 2 x 1 wood behind the bottom part of the back to keep the planter straight:)))

Hi Helen lol my never ending supply of wood comes from a company who builds floors for houses. These are the off cuts from the floors and packaging which they save for me :)))

shee, Mark, you're like Sherlock Holmes - he always said that people were amazed at how simple his solutions were - *after* he'd explained them!

it does give a very neat apprearance, though I imagine it'd be a tad difficult to change their locations in future.
