The crocus look like small, slim, lilac flames.

Such a hopeful little plant - saying "Look Winter is nearly over!"

Wish I could photograph mine. This is a lovely display.

Still think it's gorgeous Marguerite.

Beautiful - as Amy says "why nasty". Does it do unspeakable things - like strangle other plants?!

Gorgeous stripey cat!

Amy's right - they will spread. We have quite a carpet together with the snowdrops.

My jaw literally dropped Jacque - what an amazing close-up.

I cheated T.T.! Soneone else took it for me. Using magnifying glass to see other people's photos, which give me a lot of pleasure. Still waiting for a hospital appointment. Get frustrated, but, hey, there are worse things in life.

Really pretty colour.
On photo - Euphorbia purpurea
That's a nice close-up Sarah. Don't know this plant at all. Not sure what I feel about carnivorous plants.
On photo - Sarracenia 'Stevensii'
It's really big (and untidy!). Don't think I would have recognised it as a nest at all. Clever you for knowing.

Love this photograph.

I think the preparation for Spring is a lovely time of year and you've certainly put it to good use. A great start to the year.

Again some lovely creek pictures. It must be so nice to have this lovely feature on your door-step.
On photo - Up the creek
Like all the creek pictures - with or without water. Such lovely shapes.

That's the throw-away society gone truly mad. It will give you pleasure for many years to come Sarah.
On photo - Phaleonopsis Orchid
Oh Yes, Janey. It's absolutely gorgeous. However, we planted it 50 years ago before we knew anything at all about gardening. It faces direct North and if March "comes in like a lion" it can get a bit battered. Shall try to photograph it at the right moment (and hope for reasonable weather). Perhaps it would be easier if you called me Shirley - it might stop you getting deja vu!! Thanks to everyone for their nice comments.
On photo - Hamamelis Molllis
It is about 40 years old - hence the height. But I can't remember being without it. It's right beside our Magnolia which is 50 years old this year!

Gorgeous picture. He's a lovely colour.

Mine too Gee19. Amy's are well ahead. Perhaps the comparative warmth of the wall has helped.

Is that a buddleia in the foreground? Well forward if it is. We grow our rhubarb in one of those flexi plastic tubs with handles. Have got several tubs in different sizes and colours - they are so useful. Never tried forcing - does it bring the season forward?
