What A Time 2!!!

The follow up to my last blog, which MAY contain similar pics to David’s (we were there together) is as follows! (I know, grammar!)
On our great day out to Dundee…………….

After leaving the first tent, we went for a wander round. This resulted in some lovely finds!

I think we have some budding garden designers in Dundee!
This was the kids’ tent, & I was SO impressed with their attention to detail & sheer artistry!!!

Then we went outside for a smoke!

And a wander where we discovered……..
A LUMBERJACK!!!!!!!!!!

And…………

Then we met up with Scotkat & her family, GoYers unite!

It was lovely meeting you Scotkat!

Then we met this man & his dog!

The dog took great delight in “urinating” on people! There were kids crying, laughing & running all over the place! One old lady started barking back at the dog! (Not me, I’d’ve bit him!)

I’m not chopping that lot up for soup!!

No, it DIDN’T turn into a golden carriage! :~((

Flowery things!

A trifle too flowery for my taste, but they DID look good enough to eat!

This took us off to the stalls where i came home with a bag of 30 Queen of The Night Tulip bulbs, & Chocolate Cosmos, both of which David treated me to! Thanks David! Again!
But here’s a pic of David at his happiest!

Yes, he found the chocolate!
Trouble was there was just TOO much choice, so neither of us ended up buying any!!
That concludes the first part of our day out!
Tune in next time to meet Romneya, who showed us round her amazing garden!

Love the kids garden. is the ?lavender meant to represent the nile, with the flowers around representing the fertile qualities of the nile. Absolutely brilliant. Wish i was there. Also wish someone would treat me to chocolate cosmos. Thank you for sharing your pictures. brilliant. :o)

A great record of a great day out Mad.
Sorry to hear that you have been unwell Sandra. I wish you a speedy recovery from whatever ails you.

12 Sep, 2009

Looks like a lovely day out - I just bought some choc cosmos, Im not sure about overwintering as they have a tuber I think a bit like a dahlia so to leave in or wrap up in the shed any ideas?

12 Sep, 2009

I haven't a clue! Hold on, there was a label!
The label says that tubers should be protected overwinter, unless in a sheltered position, either by bringing inside, or by covering with a layer of mulch!
So now we know! :~)))

And when the dug performed his little "trick", well!!!!!

12 Sep, 2009

I know your all expecting this but.................
I can see that the 'dog' was a person dressed up but what is it about the 'man'? I'm confused ? ? ? ? ?

12 Sep, 2009

He was on stilts, but they were covered with "legs" & socks, so it looked pretty real!

12 Sep, 2009

Hi M
that giant scotsman is Big Rorie . . .in the mid seventies he bought a derelict castle called Mains Castle he then done it up and eventually sold it , he made a great job of it , I remember it as a ruin and its much better now its been restored. He has been doing the "Big Rorie" for a long time I have never met the guy but he must be a real character.

23 Sep, 2009

He was hilarious! Had a brilliant rapport with the kids too!
How you doing, Mac? Long time no see!

23 Sep, 2009

im good was away golfing to montrose , arbroath and a few others stayed at a place at arbroath called I think the Rosely Country House Hotel , it's a great place an old old house all wood panelling and coal fires and quirky fixtures and fittings a bit like the Adams family house but really friendly a great place to stay. So I not been on lappy for a while but back now for three weeks then its Turkey Yeeha!!

24 Sep, 2009

LOL! You sure its not Torquay??
The hotel sounds like just my kind of place!!

24 Sep, 2009

No kidding it was brilliant there was a dozen of us and we were the only ones there , the gardens had Chilean pine trees (monkey puzzles) they must have been nearly as old as the house 1803 when we turned into the car park on saturday night after the golf ,the headlights shone on at least 40 rabbits all staring at the lights, but the house was the thing .

24 Sep, 2009

Dont tell David about the monkey puzzles, he's obsessed with them!LOL! It sounds brilliant! I love old houses! I'd've claimed squatters rights!!

24 Sep, 2009

24 Sep, 2009
