Get Well Soon Digger!

Let me tell you a story!
Once upon a time there was a GoYer, who decided to play at lumberjacks!
Being the type not to worry about health & safety, he managed to fell his tree, but……….you guessed it, it fell on him!!!!!!!
Another GoYer thought it would be nice to make him a get-well card, but, having a warped sense of humour, she couldn’t get the image of him lying under the tree out of her head!
This resulted in the following get-well card!

Now I know this could be percieved as cruel, but I’m sure you’ll agree, it’s pretty apt!

Anyway, I made this (with love) for Ian, & I hope you will all join me in “signing” it!

Get well soon, Digger!
Marie x

Dear Ian,
I'm so sorry that you 'aint well,
nasty tree...on you it fell
Chainsaw - to you I'll not be handing
I'd swear i heard it say "I had a soft landing".
So what's the moral of this story,
with Ian floored in all his glory
Don't listen to the tree huggers...
what I say is Fell the Buggers!

Hope you get better soon Ian,
Jen x

Now look, I'm gona say this again and I'm only gona say it the once..................
IT WASN'T A BLOODY TREE..Hmmm hmmm sorry just had to get that out of my system. It was the fall down the steps that did me in. Lol :~)))

18 Aug, 2009

Just the once, Digger? I'm sure I've heard it before!
Methinks the Digger doth protest too much!!

18 Aug, 2009

Well, in that case Ian, I think you'll have to take more water with it!
I had a fight with a very prickly palm tree in one of my customers' gardens today> The usual thing, a lovely little plant planted right in front of the window without thinking of when it's a (that word that Ian used) big plant and you can't see out of the window or walk past it without getting attcked. I can proudly announce, I won hands down but , unfortunately it's a plant that's bitten the dust but wouldn't have to if it had been put in a more suitable position!

18 Aug, 2009

It was the steps that attacked me, from behind, without warning and callously moved while I was trying to walk down them, I could have won and in fact did win with the t... t..... tr...tr..... t..... t ...... big plant.

18 Aug, 2009

The t...t...tr...tr....t......t...TREE!!!!

Get well soon Ian....erm....or should I say - hope you got well soon? Well, just for the record, when you hurt yourself next time, can I say get well soon in advance just in case I miss it again when it happens?! Not that you're going to hurt yourself again, but you never know, you might be deadheading the dehlias, when you step back, get the bucket stuck on your foot and....OOOOPS! There you go again............

27 Aug, 2009

Good one Sid!!

27 Aug, 2009

Sid, If I do step back whilst deadheading the dehlias and get my foot stook in a bucket....... I'll personally make SURE your the first to know! ! ! Lol :~))

27 Aug, 2009

Yeah unreal is the way to describe it specially when you fall over and stick it right up your nostril ole! makes your eyes water (Ian can vouch for that)

27 Aug, 2009

27 Aug, 2009

Prezacerly MP! glad to see someone else can bark up the right tree and root out the salient points, from the ever branching foliage of a thread!
Perhaps we should leaf it there if others can't keep up eh!

28 Aug, 2009

Maybe I'm just as daft as you are!
Or just as barking!!!
