Now here is a thing. Does a'curry plant' in this context mean a Helichrsum (grey leafed, yellow flowered thing) or the true plant which produces Curry leaves?

You should take the semi-ripe cuttings about now, and place them in a cold frame - but leave the hard prune until spring.

You could do both.Cuttings root quite easily. When cutting back, make sure that there is new growth below where you cut. That way there will be something to grow away afterwards.

Also, Hydrangea, Cytisus, Elaeagnus, and Fuchsia.

If the flowers are otherwise normal then it is a problem with a lack of light and it will sort itself out when the weather improves.
If the flowers are distorted and more like leaves than flowers this may be Green leaf disease which is actually a sort of Virus infection spread by aphids and leaf hoppers. There is no cure. Remove all affected flowers and burn, If it is all flowers then dig out and burn the plant. This is not very common though, so do not be too hasty!
