How to open a monkey nut

First you must select your nut

Very carefully pierce a hole at the top of the nut with your teeth

You should then be able to pull it apart with your hands.

If not however . . .. . . .. . . … . . . . .. . . . . . GET ANGRY .. . . . use your teeth and temper to bite into the middle of the nut

be careful of shell shock

Great photos! You did very well to get that sequence of the squirrel opening up the peanut! Have you given it a name yet? Enjoyed the comments as well!

Hi Balcony there is a few squirrels that come to the feeder, so it's difficult to tell the difference.

That looks great! Pity they're not red squirrels (don't have enough of those!), but they're cute anyway.
