And not necessarily in that order!
Aided and abetted by fellow Goyers comments on the Elfcap photos I posted today & yesterday I thought I would take self & the doggies on a little fungi foray.
Apart from the Elfcaps, didn’t find huge amounts more of fungi but here are the best of the fungi pics taken today…

Well, there’s a few fungi for y’all. Much more in autumn & early winter…..
And now for the inevitable puppydog photo!!! This is Jazzypup. We call Jazz and her sister The Puppies, even though they’ll be 7 in two weeks time…and Pru’s pup Sluggy is 2 in 6 weeks and we call her the babyDog…goodness knows what we will call pups of Sluggy?

The girls found an old hide, they seriously beat it up!

More fungi..

Here goes for the frog spawn. Fascinating…

The beautiful natural pond. Luckily it’s only a couple of fields away, a great place to go and rejuvenate.

And lying back on my coat, took a photo of the sky!

I so love this natural place and so do the pups. They mooch around as long as I’m willing to stay. Great spot for a picnic….any takers!! Frogs legs NOT on the menu!

I think I’m up to the hare pics now (and it’s the footie half time downstairs!!)

This one not very good

These are better….

Sluggy on chase, woofing loudly!!

Jazzy on chase with another and Pru chased another, too far away to capture!

Here are 3, 24 hours old filly foal shots………boy long blog…just nipped downstairs for a quick yogurt, banana and nutmeg treat!!!

Baby all tucked up in her stable after having the sun on her back all day in the paddock.

To finish off, a couple of atmospheric ‘evening stables’ shots.

Phew! Long blog, haven’t done one in ages. And still no score from the footie downstairs. The only noise I can hear is Prudence cleaning out the yogurt pot. Tired pups this eve after a long, long walk. They like it when I take photos or pick hazelnuts, it means extra long walkies!!

Picnic needs to be while water is still in the pond but the sun is out!!! Still as Bjs can attest, we can do pretty fine picnic nearer or in the house if needs be!
Thanks for all your comments for my all in one blog!!

lovely photos Lulu...I love the red funghi particularly...and the photo of the hare leaping! :))

1 Mar, 2012

Gosh, Lulu, don't you get your frogspawn early? We get more toads than frogs here, and in springtime (some time between March and the end of April), when it rains, for a few nights the roads are alive with them. It upsets me so much to see how many of them get squished by passing traffic during their migration. The crows and magpies have a wonderful feast. We still aren't sure why they feel they have to migrate from one place to another when there are so many water-filled ditches beside every road.
Brilliant hare photographs, by the way!
