I didn’t know whether to blog this or just upload photos?
Today I spent a beautiful couple of hours in the Abbey Mills Gardens, Malmesbury. It is really one of my most favourite gardens open to the public in my area. I just love this pond with the bubble lights and HUGE Koi Carp and interesting water features.

The house is stunning with hundreds of climbers and the most beautiful knot garden

and I love the face in the hedge in the photo below

And as I messed up the order of the photos!!! I was going to say that to top it all I then dropped into a local garden centre and bought my pond a presant!! which me and my dog really quite like!!

The next pic is a plant I really liked. Grows in moist shade, does anyone know what it is?

Fantastic Lily and climber or tree? Growing up the side of the house

Another great Saturday!

The moisture plant looks like an equisetum (or mare's tail) and the climber on the house is acacia pravissima. Why no pictures of the gardners - after all, it is owned by the naked gardeners!?

Hi Lulu! I love visiting this wonderful garden, and it is so great to hear from someone who has been there too! We went to go with friends a couple of weeks ago, but on checking the website, found it to be a 'Clothes Optional' day. It could have been a bit of a distraction whilst nibbling on our picnic, so went over to Prior Landscape Park in Bath instead! Safer all round i think!!! LOL! Abbey house is a perfect day out though~thank you so much for sharing this blog! :~))

Hi Lulu! That would be great if we can get it arranged! Abbey House only about 45 mins from where I live. You have done it great justice with your blog, was so delighted to see it on here! Yes, as this is a private garden, I know that you have to schedule your days carefully, I will keep an eye on the website, just to be on the safe side I think! It was a really hot day too, when we were going to go, I hope no one got burnt bits due to over exposure! LOL! :~))
