We bought a derelict bungalow last May and we are now developing the site - building three houses here, and living in one ourselves. The reason I am here on growsonyou, is that Norman, the chap who lived here, used to be Head Gardener at Kew and the garden is an albeit overgrown paradise. I don't know the first thing about gardens, but I want to try and salvage/save as much as I can of Norman's garden. Not just for what will be our garden, but the garden on next door and the house at the bottom of Norman's garden too. We are knocking down the house we currently live in - Norman's house, in July 2010 and we are hopefully going to live on the site in a mobile home for the next year during which time, I hope, with your help, I can save Norman's garden.

April 2012. Have been living in one of the three new houses built on Norman's plot for nearly 2 years now. Time has flown! I managed to save a lot of Norman's garden which was fantastic. We are now married and we have an 8 month old called Tom.

May 2017 Wow! Tom is now FOUR! And we have little Laurie now as well. Sadly we moved out of Alba's Corner nearly 3 years ago now. After renting for 2.5 years, we have now bought our forever home in Winchester. Gardens need serious work but I am loving that I can start anew!
