On photo - Friday sky

You've got a nice lot of trees behind for coverage for the birds, something i lack here :-(

On photo - Woodpecker

How lovely to see these birds in your garden :-)))
What type of food do you put in the feeders there ?

Oh that's gorgeous, i love these :-))))))))

In mine it is without a shadow of a doubt the yellow Corydalis lutea.
It self seeds everywhere i look :-(((((((((((

Oh, thanks for that Bs !!!
I have 3 Bronze Babys, one in the back and two in the front, they must love this soil because they're romping away and when i read this question i started wondering when it will be that time for me and these !!!

Dunkel's a very cute name Ba !

This has turned out to be THE BEST THING i've ever bought Maddie, she just loves it :-))))))))))))

On blog - Maddies New Nest !

Heron, i work on and amongst mine regularly (without gloves) and have never had any adverse reaction, and i have a tendency to sensitivities to plants.

I love these plants, i have one in the front garden :-)))

Good bit of information there Alice.

LOL. yes i know !!!

Yes, i do the same Sbg, the caterpillars i've seen quite a lot of are very samll and thin and are lime green in colour.
The thing is though, i don't notice this happening and like today i see it and it's too late, no sign of the caterpillars, just the decimated leaves and plant.
Should i use an insecticide all year round ?
I very rarely use them here.

On question - Caterpillars On Choisya

Sbg, i chuckled at that because i too get told off for not sitting still for long !!!

I don't think so Cliffo, they wouldn't make the 'webs' that knit the leaves together would they ? I thought only caterpillars did that ?

On question - Caterpillars On Choisya

I think so.
It would be nice if they felt inspired to join in though afterwards, by becoming a member :-)

Phormiums can vary in height Janpled, it depends which one you have there !

There are two types sold in the garden centres a 'tenax' (up to 6' i think) which has stiff upright leaves or a 'cookianum' (2-3')which has softer floppier leaves.
Your picture shows stiff upright ones so presume it to be a tenax type, do you remember the name of this Phormium, from when you bought it ?

Yes, maybe :-)

Heron and Ydd, you're so right !
Whenever i sit out in the front or back with a drink i always, always have new ideas popping into my head !
Fluff, your Forth Bridge analogy's good :-)))))
