I've always been excited about Radishes. They were about the first things I ever grew when I was a young boy.

Not so exciting when they are mysterious weeds, though! At least they are small enough to hoe off. Things are going well, aren't they! Good for you... ;-)

Hi Lolly ,

We have 8 blueberry bushes , they do need ericaceous compost ,unless your soil is acidic, also lots of water but not tap water as most tap water is alcaline use rain water ,
The squirrels love ours so if you have pests cover with a net .

p.s our Tesco,s have some lovely bushes in at the moment .

best wishes
Amy

Well done - looks like your family will get their 5-a-day this year! What are you going to do to protect against pigeons - or are they not a problem where you are?

hi, i planted raspberries, gooseberries, and redcurrants last autumn. they are growing beautifully this yr. im kinda surprised as the soil in my garden is not the best, but i got the plants cheap so decided to take a chance with them. i planted them at the side of the garden shed which is sheltered.

Use the search feature on here for Weemamabell and her blog on Blueberries. Lots of information on there. The main point is blueberries are acid loving so you might have to plant them in pots!
Good luck

Lolly you have been a very busy girl and no doubt you and your family will be rewarded later on this year with plenty of veg to add to your meals and I'm sure they will taste far better than anything you can buy in the supermarkets nt to mention how cheap things are to grow.Hel.xxx.
