well I am quite jealous of all you bloggers who spent a glorious Saturday in your gardens. Unfortunately I had to work so was hoping to get something done between the rain today. No luck there, went out at 7.30am, quite a feat as I don’t finish work ‘till 11.30pm, and no sooner had I set foot in the garden and the rain came pouring down. So nothing done there. Did have a nice afternoon tho’ Taken out to dinner by my daughter and her partner. got lots of cuddles from my two-month old grandson. The resteraunt was located on the banks of the river Itchen so we had long enough between the rain for a little walk. The mist rising from the river was a picture and lots of adolescent ducks and moorhens wandering around the paths were fun. Bit concerned that all the horsechestnut trees have almost shed their leaves already, we had to dive out the way of falling conkers.
I am looking forward to autumn now, a lovely time of year when the garden is tidied up for winter. A time to reflect on your efforts, enjoy your sucesses, learn from the disasters and prepare for hopefully a better summer next year.
