We were at the beach this afternoon and it was lovely [a bit breezy though ] I'm not complaining .

Really pretty skies

Lovely pics Lin. The sky was such a beautiful mix of colours driving home the other evening, it was quite tricky keeping my eyes on the road! But at least I had my lights on . . . not like some . . .

Sheila -you should try driving here! Not only don't they put car lights on - they refuse to indicate where they are going! How we still survive is only down to the micro-second reactions of Partner! Lovely photos, Lin. I do adore what the sky shows us and have many sunrise photos clogging up 'Pictures' on my computer. I was lucky enough to see the Aurora Borealis when I was in Cornwall one September years ago. Not as good as seen much further north, but amazing all the same.

Wow Nariz . . . didn't know the Aurora B could be seen in Cornwall: is that unusual, do you know?? How fantastic!

As far as I know, Sheila, it can be seen, when the conditions are right, towards the end of September at the very west of Cornwall - I was in St. Ives at the time, 52 years ago. I had to shove a dinosaur out of the way to see properly! ;o)

Thankyou all for all your comments, I love to see the skies like this, especially this time of the year, at least it is better than looking at black skies dont you think? We have been so lucky with the weather so far for this time of year haven't we, lets just hope it lasts, will save us all a bit on our heating bills, instead of all getting robbed by the greedy energy companies out there.
