snowdrops

Hi everyone, well at last the snowdrops are out and nodding their little heads in the wind. Once they have flowered I shall spilt some of the clumps up. It’s been a super sunny day and I’ve been hoeing some of the flower beds, avoiding the bulbs. I’ve also got rid of some of the dead debris lying around. The birds are paring off and we have had lots feeding in the garden today. Peter our rabbit has been out on the lawn, leaping about, and Twinkle our Siamese has been keeping him company, although she is asleep in her basket now. Even the goldfish seem more active today. It’s nice to have the lighter evenings creeping in now. Can’t wait for the tree buds to burst forth. The hazel has catkins coming, and the silver birch next door. Providing it’s another good day tomorrow I shall be out there again with my hoe….Lindak.

It's been glorious here in Hampshire too. I enjoy winter but I get ready for the longer days again. For me the seasons are timed just right - lucky, that! :o)

I love the spring, think it could be my favourite season, its so exciting seeing all the plants come back to life (hopefully anyway!) I am planning to visit a garden called Hodsock Priory which is in Blyth, Nottinghamshire. Apparently they have wonderful snowdrop displays, I must check the Open Gardens on here to see if anyone has visited!
