Sunny Saturday

It’s been a lovely sunny day, so I’ve been out in the garden doing a bit of weeding trying not to hoe off the bulbs that are bursting through the soil. The ground is very wet so I can’t put the rabbit out today in his run. There are plenty of birds around. We have three blackbirds and their mates and they’re not fighting..YET!!!
The robin is guarding his terrritory well and last year nested in the ivy. Blue tits visit for the nuts I hang up, and chaffinches fly down for the seeds on the ground. The goldfish aren’t eating much at the moment and we have to put a net over the pond as we have herons flying over from the river below. Our fish would be an easy snack for them!
