rain and more rain.

I’m sitting here looking out on a real downpour in the semi light. Just put a plastic sheet halfway over Peter’s hutch as the rain was blowing in there. Given him some more hay and feed. Twinkle’s getting fidgity about wanting to go out but if I tried to show her the door she’d just turn around and come straight back in….can’t blame her really. Earlier today I hoed over a third of the veggie patch and cut seed heads off the marigolds. tied a few rose canes across and picked some beans. The runners are doing really well at the moment. I have picked loads of courgettes from the plants this year, and I have squashes on the plants that have gone mad and have overgrown into the garden, so I’ve cut some of the large shoots off today. I saw a yellow and black hawker dragonfly flying over the cabbages yesterday. I thought dragonflies only caught things on the wing, but I did wonder if it spotted the caterpillars there and was hunting them. Does anyone know? Looks like we are in for a rainy week so there won’t be so much gardening going on will there!!!! Take care all.

Lindak sorry to hear about your miserable rain, unfortunately I can't send you much sunshine today either, even though it was 30C. I love reading your blog and I love zuchinnies too.
