In the Garden today

What a change and a joy to have some nice weather. I have been very busy in the garden before our trip to Sweden. All will look overgrown on our return. :o(
But first we are taking Barry’s latest build to our nephew’s children for some serious competition in the park.

Wow, they'll love that! Your photos are great - especially the one of the very pale foxglove. I like those double daisies too.

Hi Linda, is the 4th photo down Paradisea lucitanica ?, I lost mine after the first year of blooming, just never returned in spring, Derek.

It is Galtoni candicans, Derek......not a Foxglove Stera. I winter mine in the greenhouse, but my friend has hers in the garden all year. Mine is much taller with more flowers. You have to remember this is gardening in Scotland. Thanks Barbara....I wonder who the biggest kid is? :o)

Feel very silly now - I couldn't have looked properly, just seduced by the shading on the flowers. It wasn't the same one Derek mentioned, it was the seventh one. I'd probably have said Penstemon anyway....why don't I just shut up...

Your garden is popping with all kinds of surprises. What a joy it must be to wander around.

You are right Stera......it is a Penstemon, so no need to shut up. :0) I wander a lot Bathgate not lonely but lots of clouds. We have had too much rain this summer.
