Flowers of Christmas Past

I thought I would write a more cheerful blog about my Christmas flower arrangements. Those of you who know me well will know I have been going to a flower group for a year now and so this Christmas I was determined to practice my new skills. Hope you like them……….

Such beautiful arrangements - you are clever, Linda. That's another thing I haven't been able to find pout here - oasis. Another thing to bring back on Ryanair!

Well, what a reaction!!! Thanks everyone. The flower arranging is a cross between gardening and painting. I have always been a fan of Christmas and as you can see we live in a Victorian house that lends itself to that old fashioned Christmas look. My class starts again in a weeks time ending on an Easter theme. Thanks again for the encouragement. :o))))))

look forward to seeing more linda and especially easter ones, :o)

I have spent the day dismantling the Christmas effect.....how dull everything looks. Never mind still got some Christmas cake and Cranberry Gin left. Hic!! ;o)

I particularly like the silver, white and green arrangement with the candle glass. I hope you don't mind if I pinch a few of your ideas, Linda. I spent ages gathering and spraying silver teazels and seed heads and pine cones, then found I didn't have the oasis to put them into an arrangement, but they'll keep 'til next year!

You can usually buy oasis from flower shops. We buy a box between us as it works out cheaper. I keep most of it to use each year then just add the fresh greenery from the garden Gattina. I do find I have more to put away each year.....I wonder why!! :o)))) Thanks 6d.
