My very small woodland garden

It is such a lovely time of year in the area I plant all my woodland plants. The path is surrounded by soft spring colour.
Also this is our new rustic bench with Chamomile which I spray each day Lulu. Funny how the weather changed as soon as it was ready to sit on!!!!!

yes, I agree with everyone! I bet the birdsong is wonderful. I had to laugh at myself as I thought you meant that you would be sitting on a cushion of chamomile, so I was a bit confused when I saw the slabs, but now I see the chamomile!

It looks a very cool, soothing, calming area - a quiet place to go and recharge your batteries.

Wonderful part of your garden Linda love the rustic bench too.

The idea with the bench is that you release the scent when you lean back Karen. You would get a wet bottom if it was all Chamomile on the seat, here in Scotland anyway!!
As it spreads it will look more interesting. We planted some in the lower part of the seat too.
We can sit there in the summer with friends Pete and sip wine etc. We have a hammock opposite the bench.
I have never seen the garden so green this early in the year. Thanks Julien, the garden is my escape I love to potter. It does recharge my batteries Stroller. Barry is very pleased you all like his bench so thank you 6d and Lincass
on his behalf.

That is all just so lovely! The seat's really pretty and very well constructed from what I see, it's already looking nicely settled in, can't wait to see how it develops! The rest of your garden is picture perfect, it's just beautiful!

Wonderful I love the spring and all the soft colours and fresh growth. It makes me feel relieved lol. Nice seat you've got there too.

Ohwah!

Yet more Garden envy! - I'm doomed I tell ya! - Doomed.

Olive, I've been out there looking and I have decided it is a moustach!! Thanks Hywel.....I am waiting to see your ceramics this year.
Thanks Wyeth, Barry deals with construction I deal with plants.....it works best that way. :o) He put up the greenhouse and built some steps Libet, so I think that's my lot. (we had some old friends of his coming to stay, that is why the jobs were finally finished)

Later on I will show some .. I need to get some clay and i want to collect it from the dealer about 20 miles away. It costs the earth to have it delivered lol. I hope to go soon

The seat looks great. I just dug up lots of stones from my garden, so has inspired me to make a bench in much the same way - so thanks for the inspiration!

I really look forward to seeing your pots Hywel.
Good luck with the bench KM it is great fun to have.....all we need now is the weather.

Linda, your woodland garden area is a refreshing oasis...so natural and "honest" (if that's the right way to phrase it!). I would welcome a walk in that space and a rewarding sit down on your pretty bench :)

Hope you get some nice weather up in Scotland so you can get many opportunities to sit, relax or wander at your leisure to enjoy it all.

love the look, Linda. You call it "very small" - can you give some idea of its dimensions ? (Since I recently got my first garden I've been finding out that "small" is relative!)

thanks and please post mor pics!

wow love that bench

Thanks Cristina. We need more sunny weather to sit on it.

I do like these pics; the seat is a perfect chill-out space - in dry weather, at least. could you "roof" it with ivy or some other evergreen that would'nt spoil the harmony?

D you have a water feature near the seat? to me, the sound of gently running water is one of the most wonderfully soothing sounds there is. Even a tiny pebble pool, out of sight but in earshot, would add a dimension - though you'd have problems using a solar powered one in that greenery, and I imagine it would take a fair bit of digging to put an electrical cable in from the house!
