Snow, snow, beautiful snow.

I know I am meant to say how awful this cold weather is, but maybe it is the artist in me that thinks my garden is quite magical in the snow.

Wouldn't it be great if snow only fell when it was hot instead of cold, and maybe a different colour.

What colour were you thinking of Heron? Snow is best viewed from indoors, as it is hot instead of cold.

I love it when it first falls and it is still pristine. But after a few days I get fed up of it.

I'm already fed up with it and we've only had an inch!

I like looking at it too, but I don't like the chaos it brings. Lovely photos though Linda. Enjoy!

i think it looks lovely, heron what a great idea ~ pink snow tasting of candy floss? yellow that tasted like limoncello, purple like blackcurrant mousse?

Lovely pictures Linda. It seems that we all like it when it's new, a different matter when we have to go out in it though!

The only reason I like to look at it is because it makes my garden look more or less the same as the professionals and I can think what a lovely job I`ve done - until it all melts of course.lol.

Nice, as you say, when it is untouched..and there is also a lovely quietness about it,especially early morning,I find...till everyone tries their best to get to work, engines revving, tyres spinning, shovels scraping...ah,well..it was nice while the moment lasted..and will be better still, when its gone.Apparently,we may get some milder temperatures and rain,at the weekend...yes please !

Hi everyone, the above pictures were taken from indoors. I like looking at the snow from a nice warm house, unlike most kids who like to play in it!!!! I need improvements by the weekend as I have arranged my friends 60th birthday party and want people to arrive safely.

Oh, by then we will all be used to it and they will get there! I hope it goes brilliantly for you Linda...and for your friend!

Thanks Karen. It has taken months of organizing and her husband is not much help. They are on a cruise at the moment and don't get back until Thursday. Their weather in the Caribbean is 24 degrees.

Mmmmm...that's quite cool for there isn't it. The last time we were there....I think it was January time but it could have been as late as March. It was a good few years ago now because Rachel was only 11, so that's 9 years ago.....we had 19 degrees in the evening and they said it was a record cold temp!! I had to put a cardigan on! Still, they will get a shock when they get home...if they can get here. Oh, I do hope they left their heating on Linda!

They have a daughter at home Karen, who isn't feeling very well so I am sure she will have the heating up full blast!
