Goodbye Charlie....

My daughters grand old fella had to go to the vet today, he had a cough and was breathing funny, its obvious he was struggling, bless him, our lovely vet was very thorough and said although his heart was steady she thought he had cancer in his throat and fluid in his abdomen, they could have done tests but at nearly 19yrs old my daughter said she didn’t want him put through all that, he had never had a days illness and has gone with dignity..

Bless You Charlie, sleep tight……..
He was so much a part of all our lives and will be missed for a very long time, we brought him home again and I helped my daughter bury him in a place he loved in her garden.

Hello linclass,
Im very sorry to end to day hearing your sad but brave actions,

Over the years we've had to take the vets advice and have verious pets put to rest "But" thats just what happend here Charlie has been out to rest and no pain and after all those years with you it's the right thing to do.

When we sold our house in the uk to come and live here in france, we both said our "till we meet agains" to all out verious pets in the garden and that was the hardest part of it all, not leaving the house we'd live in for 27yrs But leaving all our pets.

Like you've got we also have so many thoughts of each and everyone of them.

You've done a very brave thing "now try and rest yourself this weekend"
Regards Dungy.

Charlie lived to a wonderful age, Lincs, and obviously was a very well loved member of the family, so sad to say farewell to him.

Its the hardest thing I ever did. They dont suffer, and are gone in 5 seconds. Thats the only comfort.

So sorry to hear about your sad loss. It's heart breaking when you lose a pet, but Charlie is out of pain now. He looked a lovely cat and I bet he gave you all 19 years of happy memories.

A truly awful decision to have to make but he looked like a lovely cat and I'm sure he had a very happy life. Our last two before the three we have now, also lived to be 18. Blackie had cancer and we had to do as your daughter has done and his sister Brownie just gave up the will after he went and followed just a few months later. Much loved, never forgotten, as I'm sure it will be with Charlie.
