Wet but colourful..

All in the space of a few mins and still it rains..

Just to rub it in a bit more, some bright spark has put a prog on telly about our DROUGHT, plus I had to walk to the school again, I swear I’m shrinking…

Love the colours on the trees in the background..and lovely flowers in your garden,Sue..our Reservoirs are 96 percent full, according to local weather reporter,so we are lucky in Yorkshire..but flooding is rearing it's ugly head now..

I`m right fedup today, we have just let mum and dads house go, its the end of an era, I so could have done with some sunshine, never thought it would affect me so badly...

Hubby is taking me up Rutland Water at the weekend Bloomer to get some more pics, he goes by it every day and says its filling up well...
If it keeps up I bet some parts will get some flooding, we just can`t win can we?

Know that feeling, Lincslass.
Yes, the sun is a very rare commodity just now, but this wet just cannot last and we'll all be showing our gardens in the sun one day soon.
Your garden is looking splendid. Those colours are truly uplifting.

Bless you, they wouldnt want you feeling like that. Treasure the things you have from there in your garden, they have made it look beautiful. We can not do nothing about the weather & that gets us down but look on the bright side, the garden is loving it :-)

Sorry about how you are feeling today,Sue..I agree it's like the end of an era..but you have all your memories, and your plants..but I know what you mean...hope you enjoy going to Rutland, and the weather is fine for you..

What wonderful vibrant colours Sue your garden is beautiful. Sorry to hear you are feeling so low, it is hard to let go, but hopefully there is a rainbow just around the corner just for you. Hope you have a lovely time at Rutland Waters and come back feeling better with lots of lovely pictures to show us;0))

Isn't pic three like a song..

Lovely spring colour in your garden & the rain does crisp it all up & makes it look fresh. I'm trying not to envy the fact that you are in spring & I am now in autumn. Raining here today, but as it hasn't rained for days & has been very hot, I'm welcoming it .... means I won't have to water the garden, which is taking longer & longer to do, as the garden grows bigger & bigger.

Lovely colours in the photos, Sue. I watched the TV show all about the drought .. so much water wasted by leakages !

Beautiful colours lincslass, your garden is really lovely too. :-)

Your garden looks very colourful in the rain. Just think if it wasn't raining it would get very dusty, and the colours wouldn't show up so well ;o)))

Thankyou everyone, hiccup over, think it was a combination of weather and emotions.
You are so right, the gardens are loving this weather especially the primroses, mine are huge this year and so pretty, they seem to have been flowering for weeks....

:) x

Wow Lincs those colours are stunning, and this lousy weather gives us something to moan about, not that we need much for us to have a good moan.lol.
Your emotions are going to see-saw over the next few days but hopefully your trip to Rutland Water will take your mind onto other things, and who knows when we turn the corner into May you might even be able to get out in the garden.

Lovely colours.Very nice garden and great pictures :)))))

"when we turn the corner into May you might even be able to get out in the garden."

Not much chance of that yet! May 1st & it's been chucking it down all morning! April ended with a truly splendid day of warm sunshine all day!

Your garden is so colourful, Lincs! I wish there were a bit more in the way of colour here as well! My Tulips & Daffodils on the balcony are fast going over & when they are over I'll have no colour at all on the balcony for a month or two! All the Pansies & Violas that I thought would see me through until late May were killed by a terrible aphid infestation in February.

It was grand yesterday Balcony, I got all the lawns cut and also did some planting out, it started raining last night again and hasn`t stopped since so its a case of gazing out at newly cut but very lush grass, sorry about your pansies, I also lost a lot but luckily I grew a tray of my own seed through the winter so have been replanting.... The weatherman has just predicted a cold May but hot summer from June onwards, we`ll have to hope, lol....

I'm still trying to catch up with everyones blogs and the only time to do it is when it rains. The minute it stops, I'm out there. Loved your blog and the colour from those trees are amazing.
