My Day of Woe...

Hello all my name as some of you know is Brynner..

Thats what I look like on a happy day, today I`m scared, its making big noises all around me, Mum says its called thunder and look why I`m indoors..

My distress tongue has been hanging out all day.

My basket is in here but I don`t want it but if I sit on Mums feet I`m not so scared.
I`ve helped her to hoover downstairs but made her fall over me, how was I to know I`m not allowed to get so close, silly person thought I wouldn`t hear the bangs, she learnt the hard way.
I`ve been out for a while though..

Digging is good.

Sorry Mum!! I was only trying to hide under there, OH BOY, guess who`s in trouble again.

Thunders not all bad I got away with it this time.
Mum`s asking Dad about a little picket fence, wonder why……..

Poor Brynner, all so hard for you to understand. Hope it's all over now, and have a peaceful weekend!

oh ... I sympathise Brynner my dogs didn't like it either once we had a 'crack & rumble' right overhead and Kate the setter leapt onto my OH's knee and nearly strangled him with her paws... wouldn't have been too bad but he was eating dinner at the time......

so you've been quite a good boy really and digging takes your mind off the noise...:0)

There there Brynner, hope it has gone over now. I don't like it either.

Oh dear, Brynner, it's hard to understand that horrible noise. I bet sitting on Mum's feet calmed you down though, and a spot of digging is always a great way to relax, even if Mum wasn't too happy about it! A picket fence would be great for you, as you'd have your very own patch then . . . hope you have a sunny weekend. : o ))

Rocky sympathises although it doesn't seem to bother him at all, but then my husband says he's all muscle even his brain! (very unfair he's very intelligent actually) chin up Brynner soon be sunny days again (well we hope)

Brynner thanks you all, he took a bit of persuasion to get him out for a walk, he wore himself out fretting though and is sleeping now, unknown at this time of night, usually plagues us with his toys to get attention. Morgan didn`t bother at all, relief to me of course, one scared dog was enough...

Poor Brynner...Jodi doesnt like it either and sleeps behind the settee...:>)

Poor Brynner! Dogs just hate storms - I had a German Shepherd who would force himself under furniture to escape it, then a Lab/Retriever cross who tried to eat her way out of a closed room (we were away for a few hours at the time) by chewing the archetrave at the side of the door to bits! Spent a while when we got back picking splinters out of her mouth! Glad Brynner's OK now.

on bless Nariz, awful when the're frightened , after the really bad storm I had to get up in the night with them or they went hysterical poor things, they hated fireworks too after that.

Just a word of sympathy from us: we understand even tho' we are two kitties, We spent all day under Mum's bed and when it was over, we came out and asked for our belated supper. She was not best pleased:how were we to know that she doesn't do suppers in the middle of the night!
She is quite good tho' because on November 5th, she won't go out and enjoy herself so that she can be there to comfort us when we are frightened.

Have you tried barking at the noise? We wish we could bark sometimes:meowing is much too ladylike for some of the things that we would like to say.

Best wishes from Grisette and Caline xxx

Oh thankyou Grisette and Caline, I do bark at first but then I pant and tremble, worst thing is it came back last night and was joined by fireworks at Burghley, normally I like the park but not last night, I didn`t have my dinner until 1am this morning but my mum stayed with me until I settled, I have 4 furry friends but they don`t comfort me,they go to sleep, I think they then I`m a big black cissy, lol....
