Moon shots.

It might be close but I still cannot find anybody taking a walk, although it was smiling at me…

Those were taken approx 7pm when the moon was low with flash on…

These were taken approx 9-30pm without flash….

Back out at 10-30, its quite high now so I had to use the tripod…….
Bright spark hubby in his infinite wisdom says “You should get some good shots if you get up early in the morning”. Fat chance unless he does it…..

LOL, Hubby took some closeups of the craters and I didn`t even like looking at them, just in case,I`d rather not know if anything is out there......

Yes it is Lincslass as they have been dropping selminella, trip dugs on us from above from the 40s to the late 90s as I discovered under the freedom on information act. How they have experimented with inoculations of all the children after the war too. They are still doing this in Africa on the kids too, if one inoculations is given to an African girl close to the measels jab she dies early , documentary on tv recently.

Impressive photos Sue...it didn't look like this in our neck of the woods so I appreciate seeing your pics. I can see now why folk are so excited about the moon tonight...a wonderful sight.

Did you see any cows jumping over the moon? lol

What excellent photographs - I didn't know the moon was at its nearest to the earth etc until today, but last night when we were travelling in our car our 8 year old grandaughter said how bright it was (out of the mouth of babes ????)

Did you get up early ?

I can tell you all I couldn`t see any men or jumping cows,no flags either, now that I found sad because in all the films one usually see`s a flag, lol, I also did not get up early this morning and nor did hubby, I knew he wouldn`t but can`t blame him, the best time was between 6/7pm when it had its orange glow.
Terra I feel sure Wallace and Gromit would enjoy a trip so I hope you`ve put their names down, lol...
Sandra don`t go all technical on me because I`m useless at all the jargon as regards my camera, I didn`t go full zoom on my pics as yes it blurred, I had it on auto focus, zoomed manually, held the shutter halfway down until it cleared in the screen then fired, all my pics are trial and error and I`m always finding something new on my camera, lol, hope that makes sense to you...

wonderful pictures, thanks for sharing them. You must have a good horizon, and really clear air - well, as clear as it can be, with light pollution all over the place.

I've got it marked on my calendar that there's a total eclipse on Wed 15th - lunar, I presume, as we're not supposed to get even a partial solar eclipse for about a century in UK!
