Gardening first...

Wonders will never cease “there is a sun”. She took half the day to appear and has gone again now, so it was beggar the housework and I went into the garden.
Things are coming along nicely in the greenhouse and I`ll soon be pricking out my seedlings, I like that job, its my thinking time, lol, I kid you not, when that job is underway my mind runs off on a tangent.
The mower hasn`t been brought out yet but I have strimmed all the edges and ran it over the areas where the grass grows thicker, near the patio walls and around my trees, it looks a lot tidier now, I want to leave it a while yet to give it chance to recover from winter and the damage caused by the dogs playing.
Inspected and turned two compost bins, hundreds of lovely worms working away in them, I was tempted to bring some out for my friendly Robin but that really defeats the object so I`m afraid he has to find his own.
I`ve also worked my way across my raised bed at the bottom of the garden, I think Brynner and Morgan have been walking on it again at night when they know I cannot see them, I`ve threatened to chop their legs off, they are crafty and never go on there during daylight hours…
One of the nicest things about today was stopping and looking about and seeing all the buds swelling on the fruit trees and flowering shrubs and the flowers coming out in various parts of the garden….

This flowering cherry is behind my fence but I can still admire it..

Mums tree is growing beautifully and is full of buds, will post another pic when it is fully out as you cannot see too clearly on this one…..

The Peony is showing towards the fence, its a gorgeous red and was in the garden when we moved in over thirty years ago….

The previous three pics are flowers coming out where the boys have been treading, hopefully they will perk up now I have loosened things up again, its very shady down there so takes a while to get going..

The Clematis has been flowering since last December.
All in all its been a good day for me, hope yours was too…

It's great for you to enjoy the sunshine and be able to get out in the garden to see all the trees and plants bursting out with promise of blossoms and new growth. You've been very fortunate with the peony considering it was in the garden 30 yrs. ago.

Happy gardening, Lincs.
