I have a couple of areas like that, hard to know what will grow for an extended length of time, some grow for a year and then give up the ghost.

I love the scent of lupins, my mother used to have them down both side of the orchard, I must sow some! you have inspired me with yours !

It's blooming early ? though I prune mine back for shade, theyr'e close to the house......such pretty flowers and fragrance when it's warm too !
