It is to the south east of Andorra in the Pyrenees, apparently it is the sunniest part of France having an average of 300 days of sun each year.

Ajuga..of course should have recognized it. I have the pink/white/green variegated one and the lovely green/maroon one... The p/w/g spread well the first season, but I'm looking for it and it seems to have gone...the other is quite hardy and has formed lovely mats in two areas in my garden. When it blooms it is abuzz...only thing the bees like better is the Amur Maple.

I see another blue flower lurking in your background...that's not the ceanothus, is it?

Some years ago the Garonne and Dordogne area was a favourite for holidays, but we weren't so far away at the end of March when we went on a rekkie in the Cerdagne, at the other end of the Pyrennees. That corner of France is beautiful and the climate is attractive too.

I bought a potted strawberry..going to transplant it to a sunny spot as soon as I'm sure of the weather. Your blossoms look very large as do the ones on the plant that I bought it is Fragaria X ananassa 'Fragoo" and it is supposed to be everbearing.

I love clematis but don't have your climate or luck it seems. Going to try a Montana this season... and hope the voles go elsewhere this winter!!
