Red Robins

I planted these two red robins about 3 or 4 years ago. They have always looked really healthy and occasionally given one or two flowers here and there. I pruned them back about 2 years ago, but have otherwise just left them to do their own thing.

They have surpassed themselves this year and flowered profusely. Here are some photos of the flowers. Who knows I may not see them again, so must take lots of photos!

I’m really pleased with them and hope you enjoy them as well. Thank-you for looking.

They're lovely. I didn't know they flowered!!! I've got a little red robin (dwarf) but it only went in the garden about October but it's doing very canny, lots of new red leaves on it

Thank-you. I was told by a more experienced gardener than I am that it is very hard to get them to flower. So I am well pleased that my two are. Good luck with your one. I love them even when they aren't flowering.

i can understand why Michaella. If I had a bigger garden I would get lots more. They just add interest all year round and are so easy to care for.

Thank-you everyone, I'm glad you enjoyed the photos.

I can't really take the credit for being a good gardener Kidermorie, as they basically look after themselves with minimal input from me, but thank-you.
