Hi Andrea,

I had a very disapointing crop last year with toms no matter how i tried they wouldn't ripen. In the end i just made green chutney.

Good luck with your toms let us know how they get on.

Best Wishes

Libby

Hi David,

I think it,s the best when you have good childhood memories because that sets the pattern for our own children.

I don't cut the grass my hubby does and ours is decreasing in size.(more room for flowers).

I think it's wonderful being a parent and like you say you don't realise their love until you become one.

see you.

a very dear friend gave me a piece of this pretty plant last year it's thriving under my chokeberry glorious in spring.

Did they use this plant years ago to cure lung complaints hence the name Pulmonaria rubra (lungwort)?

lovely Blue.

Hi Peter,

I agree gooseberries are tart but they are good if you dip them in some of the sugar pot. We had many a tummy ache eating those.

Hi spritzhenry,

Trees are great i have a chokeberry it has masses of white star flowers in spring and then vibrant green leaves in summer the grand finalie (if that is not enough) is beautiful bronze Autumn leaves and deep red berries(the blackbirds) love them. I bought it originally as a shrub though it is now tree like about 15ft high.

my front page photo is a sample of spring time.

Hi spritzhenry,

Thanks for that, the tree is 20ft plus and is in our back garden it is always full of blossom every May. When the flowers fall the ground is covered with pink petals.

You have some lovely photos.
