ALLOTMENT AT LAST!!!!!! Allotissement des Quatre Saisons

My husband and I have been on a waiting list.. And on the 12 th December signed tenancy agreement for half plot as that is all allowed due to supply and demand!! we received it well kept!!! and since then have sourced much on Freecycle, the shed, the wood for raised beds, the paving slabs,

Have begun sowing Garlic is in but sadly Broad beans that were doing amazingly well at home moved them from Garden to Allotment and the following week snow :-(( so rather unhappy looking now and black they may perk up
Will see going to keep you updated of our progress and I have added some lovely yellow wellies to the area where a bench is going given to us by my mum from her garden!!

We gave our Plot 8b a name "Allotissement des Quatres Saisons!!!

Being lovers of France and fine food that can be provided all year this is our name above!!

will let you know how it goes its a lovely distraction to my first daughter going off to uni and my son who is now 14 so it helps me keep loving and caring for someone/something..

Shed from Freecycle now to paint it!!!

Brilliant LG. am pleased for you, we have got rid of loads of stuff on freecycle lately including a shed! Your shed looks great, shame about the beans :~( but it would be worth setting another lot they grow quite quickly dont they. Have fun

"Le singe est dans l'arbre" (Eddie Izzard and I had the same French text book!) is seriously one of the few phrases I remember!
Congratulations, that's great news - be sure to grow something that gives you lots of energy and don't forget to encourage the wildlife. Above all . . enjoy! :-)

Le Singe toujours!! :)) lol

Now, I must say, Lady G. what a stroke of good fortune to get it in good nick already...fab! And a freecycle shed too...what a boon. Things are looking up for La femme jardineuse! I was wondering whether you had ever been treated to a meal at the original 4 saisons? I have a friend who has been...that's my claim to fame..I have a friend who's eaten at Le Manoir!! :)))) Maybe one day I will go...hmmm...another idea for my 50th birthday. At this rate, I will be spending the whole of next year travelling, staying in fancy hotels, eating at fancy restaurants, visiting friends all over the UK and of course..visiting the best gardens in the UK too...Oh, and I might walk the coastline of Britain in my 'down' days lol. I think this allotment is going to be a wonderful 'make up for' the emptying nest LG! :)))) I know just how you feel btw, I have them both at uny now. Mostly it's ok, but some days it's sad.
