Hello all,as you can see I went to the spring fair,I did’nt buy much this year but i always love going.I bought something called angel wings which i loved the look of,I also bought yet again cat mint,im sure it will do well as suki and ophelia passed on over the past year(the cats)i also bought iris which i have not before so i may be asking advice from you all,and of course more lilys even tho i say im not getting anymore but i cant help it they are my weakness,have to say ive never been so cold and was glad to get back to warm up,have a nice day chris

Hello Ladybug 47 (where are the other 46?). I Googled "Angel Wings" but wasn't left much wiser. There are Angel Wing Begonias ; something called Senecio Angel Wings which has won awards.......
I hope you didn't grow lilies while you had the cats. I am reluctant to have any in the house now though I love them and the cat has shown no interest in any we did have.

hello eirlys,my cats were 17 and 18 and never ever went near my lilys and i only learned two yrs ago about not letting them near them,the angel wings ive never seen before,they have no flower and are green with white fluff on them sort of like lambs ears plant(dont know the name).
seaburn how could you forget harrogate tho i will say im not that impressed with the new layout and like the autumn one more.

not a lot of plants as there used to be,the main annex was all sales shops,double glazeing,blinds,tours,hope its better in sept

oh that is disappointing. the floral marquees were the main reason for going. gardens are for plants and a few fixtures and fittings but so many seem to push the furniture etc and plants a secondary thought. one of our gc [a chain] sells fake bamboo etc for instant impact against the gas barbeques etc. I don't think we have the right climate for it really.

Oh rats!
I knew there was something I wanted to do this weekend. OH arranged a trip to our daughter in Leeds. Having said that I had a lovely day with my daughter but no plants to buy ;o)
