woke this morning to a lovely card from the teen,it was produced from the dark room by a hand saying"here and dont get all mushy"a nice card with a packet of seeds inside, forget me nots(faves)sooo i got all weepy and planted them and in years to come i can look at them and say"the child who is no longer for sale"gave them to me,she then made me sausage and mash for dinner(i had to cut the potatoes up as she was boiling them whole)and she disapeared back into the dark realms of her room, maybe never to be seen or heard from for another year(pigs flying by the window)happy mothers day all, chris

The most unexpected moments and surprises are best :) I am happy for you that your daughter came out from her "retreat" and put in such a thoughtful effort to show you that she does love and care for you.

Thanks for your lovely blog.

I identify with that blog Ladybug my daughter is seventeen i'm hoping after a rough couple of years she is coming out of the dark into the light now, seem to be getting on better these days, she's now at college and really enjoying the course and has made new friends think that has helped, she had a bit of a rough time at school, hope yours is the start of joining the human race lol!!!

I think we sometimes forget what an uncertain time it is in their lives, male or female..not old enough for some things, and too old for others...they 'know it all',but won't admit they don't..emotions all over the place..not the easiest stage of life, and we have all been there,I think....yet,we look back, and most of us say,it was the happiest times in our lives..not always true of course, but its the good times we tend to remember.Thank goodness.:o)

It is all down to the hormones, male or female, no difference, just go with the flow. Pleased you enjoyed your day and that you have taken her off the 'for sale' list. She will get there in the end, they all do eventually.

Lovely to see a glimmer of light in that tunnel and so glad she's not for sale any longer. When she's giving you a hard time just look out the window at your forget me nots and remember Mothers Day 2011 and your sausage and mash supper! :o))
