Oh ..Kidsgram how can you not like that lovely rain!! I have been rejoicing in the our bit of rainfall...but I imagine you have access to a hosepipe and therefore your plants aren't suffering ...Lucky you! .... and I do not like that type of heat when it's toooo hot even to sit in the garden.

It was realy nice to have lots of lovely sunshine all summer - and the solar panels have been working overtime! But see how lovely and fresh everything looks, and there are pretty reflections of the pots. But think about the poor farmers who have been having to begin using the silage stored for the winter - and they only got one crop of grass rather than their usual three. If we don't get some really good grass there will be serious problems for them later. So I am putting up with the rain and watching the grass grow!

I'm with you Vileve I hate being too hot (and also too cold lol). I'm willing to forfeit the hot sunshine in order to be able to breathe and move around easier.
I actually find endless blistering sunshine quite depressing anyway.

Yes Stera I do really feel for the farmers it was just me having a bad day looking at the grey skies and missing the blue skies but deep down knowing we really needed the rain but here in Wales once it starts it doesn’t know when to stop 💦☔️ Vileve we didn’t have a hosepipe ban but I used my watering can to do my bit to make sure we wouldn’t have one every little helps 😇 it was raining when I got up at 7-30 am and it’s still chucking it down now at 11-07 good night all

Your garden looks lovely though K'gran and what a view, I do know what you mean but at the moment I am enjoying the rain and watching my grass turn green after weeks of looking corn coloured, full of very deep cracks, still hoping for more sunshiny days to enjoy, just not that intense heat.....

I have enjoyed the freshness of the rain but I do agree that everywhere looks better under blue skies and a few fluffy white clouds.
Just don't want the oppressive heat back!

I've been kind of praying for some rain for a week or so, but then my OH and myself decided to take a last minute break...where? Wales...what's it doing as I write this looking out of my hotel window in Llandudno? ...raining.So I'm hoping for some sun again. We're never happy are we?

Poor Waddy! The timing was awful, rain started on the very day folk would be travelling to Wales for their holidays. We were very sympathetic but that doesn't bring the sunshine back. If you were in the south of the country we'd have invited you for a cuppa... Llandudno in the rain doesn't have a lot to offer!

It's now late afternoon. The sun has been shining bright for the last 2 or 3 hours. We've been up the Great Orme, and plan to go to Conway tomorrow :-) it takes a lot to get a Yorkshire lass down.

At least you have a nice garden and a lovely view to look out upon while your garden gets watered.

Agree, your plants look gratefully fresh. It's a shame we can't have sunshine all day and gentle rain all night.
