I came home from work today to find the wind and sun had dried up the garden, so hosepipe and wateringcan to action, I took the camera to, so heres a quick snap around the garden

Geraniums in the cold frame

OVER LOADED GREENHOUSE whoops.

Arch leading to the greenhouse with a new path under, it was grass in Feb and was always muddy.

New home for terry tree fern.

Side path waiting for bedding plants and roses to flower.

I have decided to edge the lawn with the blue brick that appears around the garden, just got to cement them in.

Hi Sandra. I have various roses, wisteria, clemtis, honeysuckle and a couple of others (never remember their names). The structure isn't that old so everything is in its early stages, but I am hoping for some nice roses this year - a little disappointed the wisteria hasn't flowered, I hope I haven't got a non-flowering one that some people on GOY have complained about.

Oh dear, one has to sigh and make a fuss when running out of room, place plants all over patio when hardening off, therefore in his way so he moans as well, then wait until 60th birthday and give no hints as to what would be a good pressie, then get a surprise 2nd greenhouse, lol......

We're about to lay a mow-strip in lockblock, just like you have done ... going so save so much time in edging and strimming ;)

Goodluck Donna, I have dug out the trench and widened the boarder little (the bedding plants in the greenhouse have got to go somewhere), I have now laid the bricks out to make sure I have enough, also to ensure that they can turn the bends without cutting them.
Luckily we have a cement mixer, so thats the next job when we have a few spare hours before planting time thou.

What a lot of stuff in your green house. You've been busy !
I like the idea of those bricks. It will look nice :)

Thanks Hywel - a few too many, but my mother and mother-in-law have their eyes on some of them. I use the bread trays to help lift them out during the day and back in at night. I bought all my bedding plants last year and as I had a greenhouse I was determined to grow my own this year, so I purchased a propagator and started them off in the house - the rest is history.
Friends and family have given me old baskets and pots - (I already had a lot) so 'll be very busy soon potting them up - possibly mid may.

Now, look, just admit it...you're starting a garden nursery aren't you!! ;0) Flip! I thought I was bad, but you're beating me hands down! Lol! It's really good fun to grow from seed though, don't you think? The trouble is knowing when to stop, and where to put them all! And the amount of time it takes lifting them all out in the morning, and in again at night...well, sure, that's all part of the fun too!! Your plants are looking great, good and healthy too, what have you grown this year?

libet - I am really only growing bedding plants eg lobelia, petunia, begonia, tagetes, marigold, swweetpea(planted out), black eyed susan, aster and lots of others. They are not all just for me,(honestly) the family have put their orders in - or so they think. Its the amount of compost that surprises me I've gone through loads. I'll have no problems using and placing the plants, I must admit although I am really looking forward to huge hanging baskets but the actual volume of plants that I am facing is daunting -I'll have to convince myself its a labour of love. It is my escape from running my own business and all the stresses that brings.

For the bulk I use bread trays to lift them in and out of the greenhouse. The geramiums are going to be displayed on 2 plant theatres and I have just ordered some matching pots for them, hopefully I'll acheive the look I want. The plant theatres have got to be constructed yet, pictures downloaded off the net and are designed on paper - another use for left over decking!
