to make a raised bed 4m x 1.680 = 6.72 square m you will need the following

3 scaffold boards 3.9m by .200mm or 9 inch
5 liters of parafin and 5 liters of old sump oil

3 m of 25mm conduit

12m of 20mm conduit both metal

16 metal 25mm conduit clips

16 metal 20mm conduit clips

about 100 1 inch screws

4 metal hoops 66 inches w x 41 inches high

ultra fine netting 7m x 3m
top soil buy good quality about 3 tons

mix the parafin and oil 50/50

give the boards two coats and let them dry i find this the cheapest and best way to preserve any timber

cut one board into 2 lengths 66 inches

screw the 2 3.9m to the 2 66 inch to form a retangle

make 8 pegs about 15 inch long po[nted

and drive two in on each side until secure

cut the 25mm conduit into 8 pieces 8 inchs long

then drill a small hole stright thro at halfway 4 inches
big enough to take a 2inch nail

holding the pieces of conduit level with the top of the board at each corner and equel spaces in the center
tap in the 2 inch nail and secure top bottom with clips
the nail will then act as a guide to keep the hoops all at the same level when you drop them in
e

measure the distance between the 25mm conduit you
have just put in andcut to size the 20mm conduit to
fit between

keep the 20mm conduit as close to the top of the board and secure with two clips or the netting may not fit

this may seem a little expensive but it will pay off by keeping all the pests off no spray =organic it also walms the soil

i hope this may be of help to someone reguards KEN OAK

Any more pictures just ask.

These are brilliant. Lots of members on here grow vegetables, and I'm sure these instructions will be handy for some.
