Hi Cinderella @actually those were not houses, just chateaux/cottages for a season (skiing/summer holiday). They are expensive, so only rich Slovaks can have them. Look like buildings for poor, but they have everything inside and are all from the wood. So from biological point of view - very optimal for living in.
Amy@I like you listening to the music :)))
Actually, the hills were not so lovely as you are impressed. On some of the photos you can see the forests are disappearing. Why? Because there is wild business with wood in Central Europe. This region is reservation, yet I was shocked when I saw how much of the forest was cut down in two years,

That's bad news Kat the impact on the world is yet to be seen in it's true light , they must start planting milllions of trees to replace the worlds woods / forests or we are heading for trouble .

I am afraid that global war against terrorism is more profitable, then war against the greedy, Amy. Moreover, in all companies, which are processing something which grew without a penny of investment, are ivloved politicians and their family members. But if a poor gypsy is caught in a forest picking sticks for fire to warm up with his family, he is sent to prison.

Yes that's true Kat , I feel desperately sorry for the next generations as it can only get worse as raw materials become obsolete , it makes me think of those fims 'Mad Max ' everyone fighting for survival ..

I think it needs just more discipline and less corruption, Amy. Scandinavians are my great ideal. I once made an interview with Swedish doctor, thanks to whom usage of PCBs containing chemical, used in forests mostly for eradication of different tree parasites, was abolished. He noticed, that forest workers got special cancer of lymphatic system, while living in a clear nature. Since he did it, this type of cancer is continuously decreasing in Scandinavia, while increasing in Western Europe. When he wrote an expertise for the government, he was intimidated by different chemical companies.
