Thanks Sticki. It's clouded over now sadly, but at least I made the most of it. Molly and I walked over 7 miles this morning....which was supposed to help me lose weight but actually made me very....HUNGRY! lol :)

i think you are allowed to be hungry after 7 [or maybe 2] miles!!!

its raining here but im hoping for sun tomorrow

It has rained here all morning and very chilly so not been gardening at all. Did hope to get some done but too cool, no sunshine and I do need sunshine to get out in the garden. Lovely place Westhaven beach. Think I might have been a little hungry if I had done 7 miles too. Just a tad too far for me I am afraid these days. A walk down the wood side is all I need or should I say manage, lol. a walk around Morrisons is enough, that makes me hungry too. lol.

I agree with Stickie, aren't you lucky to have all this on your door step. It looks really lovely and restful. Thanks for sharing, Karen.

What lovely rocky inlet pictures Karen. Just a mile away.... gosh! No matter how much it rains I wouldn't want to move too far from that locality. Chalets look good too.

Beautiful postcard photos Karen.
I can just imagine the little boats weaving there way through them rocks with some tasty catch onboard :-)

Thanks everyone. OH and I were on the main beach again today, and both agreed ....again....on how lucky we are! There are apparently three gents who catch Lobsters here for cash, which I think is amazing! I wonder where they sell them to....local restaurants perhaps. The 'chalets' are mostly used as tool sheds by their owners who have boats here. Not many seem to be used as 'bolt holes' but if I had one.....it would be all prettified! Probably better that they stay in use for the purpose for which they are actually intended!

Interesting Bilbo. I was told, but I can't remember where he said...actually it might have been Spain now you mention. I did have Lobster Thermidor once in a local restaurant and it was absolutely delicious, but very very pricey...but I had to try it once!

Wow, that's interesting Bilbo. I've never heard of that before. Most of the Salmon on offer here is farmed or line caught in the Pacific. I don't care for farmed Salmon. Wild is a totally different animal altogether and farming methods can be very destructive environmentally...not all...but they can be.

Inconsistent eh? No I didn't know that. I have some Tuna in the fridge for dinner actually! OH loves it.

Balsamic glaze Bilbo...even better! No Mayo, it has a very serious effect on OH's system!

25 Sep, 2012

Ah Balsamic glaze, My OH came home last weekend asking for this to go on his salad, but I said it sounded more like something you used for putting on fish or meat & said did he mean balsamic vinagar. But no he wants the glaze.
Can it be put on a salad?

Ooooh yes! :)

What a gorgeous day and a lovely blog, Karen. Hopefully living so close to a beach like that makes up a bit for the dismal weather you get some of the time?!

If I were a very positive up-beat and glass always half-full person, I guess it would Sheila. In reality, some days yes, some days no! :)
