Winter Flowers

It is still winter here in Bulgaria. We have had some bright days when the odd crocus has flowered through the snow. We keep on returning to snow and temperatures between -2c and -10c. There is the promise of warming weather in a week or so. In the mean time indoor plants provide a respite from the white outside the window.
Pleione orchids are going into flower and many late winter / early spring flowering South African bulbs are showing themselves for the first time since I sowed seed in 2008.
I’ve included some pictures of the plants flowering on my windowsills, floral sanity preservers I guess!

Pleione Lhasa ‘Blushes’

Geissorhiza ornithogaloides

Gynandriris setifolia

Gladiolus quadrangularis

Thanks for the welcome, we can have 100 days with snow here so there is plenty of time to practice photography!
Hopefully be out in the garden soon!

Welcome to GoY.
I also love house plants. They don't desert me in the winter like the garden ones do. But yours are more exotic than mine.
We've had a very servere winter here in south west wales - much colder and snowier than usual. I preffer our normal mild rain.
I am looking forward to seeing some of your garden photos as the year progresses :o))

Thanks for the welcome Terratoonie & Bloomer!
Cheers Hywel,
Most of my exotics are seed grown, couldn't afford to buy them as bulbs! I hope your weather returns to normal, we are hoping for spring weather in 6 or 7 days time, so maybe some garden pics then.
