Stay safe and enjoy plants wisely

I’ve noticed that quite a few GOYers have extolled the virtue of wild garlic for culinary uses. I have eaten it and can testify it is truly delicious. However it can be mistaken for plants that are definitely not supposed to be eaten. A few interesting and helpful web addresses are :

Fortunately it is fairly easy to test out if what you are picking is wold garlic as the articles above will testify. I made the unfortunate mistake of planting lily of the valley and wild garlic next to each other so won’t be making a wild garlic dip anytime soon :-D

Hope this doesn’t come across as teaching your granny to suck eggs, I just want to make sure we all continue to help GOY members, as well as their gardens, thrive for many years to come.

Kindest wishes to all :-)
