herbs delivered at last...

The other day my long awaited herbs came from j parkers £13.90p plus £3.95 p&p look at these little delights..

all bone dry….

i dont think i will be buying from them again, the least i expected was for the roots to be covered ..3 days in transit but that should have been ok these were completely dried out..OH said to complain but i havent the energy…if i complained about everything i thought was wrong i would never have a pen or phone out of my hand..is it just me ?

i will rely on seeds in future a lot cheaper too .. moan over .lol

Sorry u got ripped off.
I think u have every reason to moan & complain. Did they really come like that? Without pots? Yes, indeed u should grow ur own next time as the seeds might have cost u about 2 pound a pack & u would have plenty of them.
I think in England u get ripped off a lot. In Calif. we could buy about a doz. 6 pk. for that kinda money. Thing is if no one complains then things don't change.

£17.85 with the postage ... get complaining right away ... I wouldn't accept them in that condition. Tell them if you want 'dried herbs' you'll go the supermarket !

hi Sandy, that was without the postage so no not cheap..i may think about it see how i feel tmoz..
cheers Angie, yes they come in a plastic box with grooves inside which the plant slots into then the 3 boxes inside a cardboard box..you are right about seeds..also about complaining we need to stand up for ourselves more but thats another blog lol..

hi Shirley, i know but if you complain you never hear back from them, i was going to see how they fare now they are potted on one of them was dead as a dodo when it arrived..the best part is the firm is a 10 min drive from where i live...

10 minutes drive away ... get there for opening time tomorrow ... tell them you've complained about them on a gardening forum ... that may just get results ! I expect a report back from you tomorrow ... lol

I would definately complain Joanella...especially when they are so close....you can drop them in. I've had "plants" from them in the past....so small you can hardly see them....thats why they are so cheap........Their bulbs are ok.... but I would NEVER buy plants from them.......

If you speak to them pleasantly they usually refund or send replacements. I have had a few sorry deliveries over the years but they have always put the problem right for me, when I have expressed my disappointment. All the plugs you get will have roots at the edges, its their way of showing the customer that there is a good root system; apparently.

worth a gentle moan in my book.

Shirley ,ouch that slap on my wrist hurt lol
Alice ,i may just write to them now after all your encouragement wouldnt get plants again like you..have you sobered up now ? lol..
hi SBG i didnt like complaining because most of the top growth isnt bad although lost one and think another will be gone tmoz as you say a gentle moan..:o)

Grrrr it reallly annoys me when plants arrive in this condition! Get in touch with them Joanella. The times I have ordered plants from QVC (Thompson and Morgan) and they have arrived like this. I always phone and complain and always get a replacement or my money back. Oh, how grumpy do I sound, sorry......:o)
