Hi Joanella thats a good question. Mine Blah13 comes from when i was a kid i was a cheaky bugger to my nanna and whenever she was telling us anything about stuff for our own protection or telling us off i would just go blah! blah! blah! but as the years have went by i have come to realise she was right on everything she told us so in a sense a kind of comemeration to her. And the number 13 i count it as my lucky number its the first number i pick in comps etc. :-))

28 Feb, 2010

ha ha ,hope you are lucky in the comps..:o)

It's not as easy as it seems, especially with passwords, as you want one that is easy to type yet most you try are already used. I was lucky with GoY as when I was joining (yes you've guessed it) a Heron landed on my pond.

28 Feb, 2010

Hywel is my real name. (Pronounced Howell)

When I first joined in April 2008 I used 'Blodyn' because I thought it was going to be a security word. At that time I didn't realise I would have conversations with people and be called by a cat's name.
So I deleted the page and re-joined using my own name, with which I feel much more comfortable. :o))

28 Feb, 2010

so far so good ;-))

28 Feb, 2010

easy one for you then heron, i agree with the passwords..:o)
lol hywel, nothing wrong with blodyn :o)
:o) blah..

28 Feb, 2010

Funny things are 'user names' we're encouraged to create them yet in time we're often addressed by our real name. Is it a security issue?

28 Feb, 2010

No there's nothing wrong with Blodyn for a pretty female cat. But not for a grumpy middle aged man lol - it just didn't feel right ;o)

28 Feb, 2010

Mine is self explanatory but I am curious about a lot of members and the reasoning behind their choice, have spent ages at times trying to figure them out...........

28 Feb, 2010

let me see why did i choose mine lol can you guess joanella ;o))

28 Feb, 2010

No I'm not a sailor as Hywel first thought, lol, mines after our cat who's called symba, but we always call him simbad because he's so naughty, lol, use it on lots of sites easy for me to remember, seeing as he usually tries to help !!!! when I'm on the computer, lol.

28 Feb, 2010

I'm with Hywel on the password, I knew nothing about computing until this year, assumed the first thing that came to mine, my cat Megan and 75 for no special reason really. Some Goyers know my real name but I'm happy to be Megan ! : o ) )

mad
Mad

My name used to be Mary Angela Dodds - initials MAD. However, my mother never actually addressed me as Mary, so I'm Angela.
My surname was changed when my mother re-married, then it changed again when I got married. Then I had a little go of looking for ancestors and came to a full stop because unknown to the present family my grandfather had changed the whole family's name in 1925. So I'll stick with MAD!

28 Feb, 2010

I got stuck with my initials then found it could not be changed.

28 Feb, 2010

know what you mean D,, i want to take baz off lol, as he doesnt come on here and hates gardening :o))

28 Feb, 2010

You could delete your page and re-join as a new member like I did. I deleted the 'Blodyn' page and joined again using 'Hywel' which I preffer.

28 Feb, 2010

i just dont want to have to reset all my pics and blogs though hywel so will just leave it as it is. maybe a function that allows us to change our name would be better :o)

28 Feb, 2010

I asked about that but it isn't possible apparently. I can understand how you feel about your photos etc. I felt the same but I haven't reset the photos, only in the process of doing the blogs. My plants will flower again in the summer so I'll put more pics of them then.
We all know you as Sandra anyway :o) x

as a girl I grew up in a part of sunderland called seaburn. It is a place I always go back to when I need 'spiritual' healing. going 'home' to put everything in to perspective. The beach is fantastic.

I wondered when I would be asked to explain mine. No I`ve never been a lapdancer...lol! I did however once own a beatiful yellow labrador called Hannah who would `dance` around the room when the radio was on, goodness knows why but it made us all laugh all the same. When it came to choosing a email address I though lab-dancer was a good play on words and the 51 was my age at the time. :o)

28 Feb, 2010

i can just imagine it bathed in sunshine, :o)

28 Feb, 2010

I had no particular reason to hide my identity, also I was starting to get confused with what name I had used where, so I just fell back on the boring truth.- the name given to me originally, omitting my middle name. (the trouble with lies is that you have to remember them).
Luckily Gurth is a pretty rare name so I can get away with naming a website www.gurth.weebly.com for instance. Simply add my surname and I have a pretty unique combination.
I chose the colour because it reminds me of the sun, although blue is really my favourite colour.

18 Mar, 2010

thanx gurth, you are right it is a rare name but as you say easy to remember too ..:o))
