hello all, what a lovely website! I have been interested in gardening for a few years now with inspiration coming from my parents. This year I’M COMPLETELY OBSESSED and want to create the wow factor with cottagey/wild flower borders/beach hut woodwork! Unique I hear you say!!! So…. the paintwork is done and the seedlings are germinating (possible divorce due to the entire upstairs being covered in pots and seed trays covered in cling film etc. but heyho!) So here is the ‘before’ picture and it’s not much to look at just yet! I hope you enjoy the progress… indeed….I hope there is some progress to blog about as this is complete trial and error! Comments, advice and chatter welcome!!! Enjoy spring!

wow isn't it great when you are so excited about something and what lovlier things to get excited about than flowers. Your garden looks a brilliant area for all your great ideas. Just make sure you take time out to enjoy what you achieve. no divorce needed lol. what seedlings have you sown already? I was given some great advice that if when planting it is always a good idea to plant more than one of the same plants in groups of odd numbers ie 3,5,7or 9's. I use mainly 3 and 5's due to limited space. good luck and look forward to seeing more :)

It's always fun seeing someone starting out, and feeling their energy and enthusiasm - you'll get all the help you need here, except, perhaps with the digging! Good Luck, Jill, this blog will be great to follow.

Hi Jill and welcome, your garden looks great. I will look forward to following your progress. I find that a garden evolves over time as ideas come as we live in it and the results seem so much better than those designed and done in a couple of weeks. Gardens are about individuals who want to make the best of their environment so enjoy your journey and please share it with us.

Hahahahahahahaha.... mine are triffid's now... can't get in the door!

Mine shiver, poor little things. If I'd known it was going to turn this cold I'd have put off sowing most of them. Not impressed with Thompson and Morgan's germination rate, I must say.
