Hi people , wow thanks for all of your lovely comments and well wishes for the pond. Well feel a little better as I have just ordered a nice amount of bulbs for my garden and we are planning out a side waterfall for the pond, all exciting stuff !!!!!!! All the fish are fine the trouble has not affected them thank goodness. Thanks again. I don’t know about your gardens but all of my beautiful flowers have either all gone over or i have lost alot, i was watching a programme on the tv about the lovely gardens in Oxford and the presenter was saying that we are all going to have to re-think our planting etc as the climate changes some plants will not like the positions etc of where they are, so lets hold onto our patience and bear with it.

I still have lots of flowers despite all the rain we've had, but I noticed several trees today look like they usually do in October - brown leaves and almost bare branches. Quite a few weeks further on than they should be at this time.

Aye Jewells saw a similar programme some time ago suggesting we should consider more mediterranean planting due to climate change .. for some areas think pond plants and marginals far more appropriate given the rain they ve had !
