Merry Christmas to you all

Sorry I haven’t been on here for a while. Been too cold. That might sound strange but the only place in my house that I get internet signal due to the hub being in the workshop is in the conservatory. The other week they said on the news that the coldest place in UK was -13 and that is only 10 mins drive from my house.

I hope you are all well and I dare say getting ready for Christmas. I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy New year and want to say thank you to you all for all the help and advise and friendship you have given me since I have been a member on this site.

Can’t do a blog without a picture so I will share what I got up to yesterday. While out in the car on Sunday I saw this idea in a garden and decided to copy it. I don’t have any out side electric points at the front of my house so to make my front garden feel that little bit more christmasie I bought some cheap baubles and put them on the ornamental cherry tree in the middle of my front garden. Never thought of using some of our large shrubs or trees for baubles though we do place some solar lights there. Good idea.

Happy Christmas, Jen. Cheer up! We're all going to get Internet high speeds by 2010 all over the house!! :O)

Thank you Jen ...
Pretty tree ... I think those lights people put outside their houses look naff. This is much nicer :)

Have a lovely time, and a warmer time I hope too :) x

Thank you Shirley, after seeing the idea on Sunday, I found in Homebase yesterday that they had a big bag of 60 reduced from £14 to £7. Had all difference sizes in it and I thought for that price, if they don't last for next year then not cost me much. Have a great xmas x

Eirlys, thank you. I have some outside lights from my old house and hubby says that he will get around to putting an electric supply out the front but I'm not holding my breath lol. Our internet speed is really good here, it's just the hub is in the workshop for our business and our house is thick victorian walls so the signal can't get through them into the house. Workshop is really cold as well, Tim and Laura have a gas fire down their end but freezing in the office part so conservatory is where I normally sit to use internet. I hadn't seen the solar lights, will have to look out for them. Have a great xmas x

Hywel, thank you. I agree, some of the outside lights do look a bit naff lol. I have some icicle ones that I used to put up under the bay windows on my last house but got nowhere to plug them into here. I would like to put just a few lights in this tree but waiting on hubby to put a socket out there. Have a great Christmas x

A very Happy Christmas Jen, and a peaceful New Year. Our conservatory is also rather on the chilly side at this time of year, but my lap-top lives on the dining table, thank goodness. I love your decorated tree btw.

Thank you all. We did buy a booster but it was useless and waste of money so for now I just don't use tablet much during winter. Have s great Christmas and a very happy New year everyone xx
