September colours

Just had a wander around the garden and its lovely to still see lots of colour. The pots are still blooming well and the rudbeckias, eupatoriums, and tuberous begonias are putting on a good show, with the asters, sedums and chrysanthemums soon to follow. I particularly pleased with my two pots of Eucomis ‘Sparkling Bugundy’ which I’ve had for several years and have flowered for the first time this year.

Beautiful colours there - the closeup in the second picture was a great idea - its so easy to miss the beauty of smaller flowers when they grow like those on tall stems.

Thank you all for your lovely comments.

I'm pleased you like the Eucomis, its been a long wait for it to bloom but worth it, and as Paul says the flowers last for a long while.

Bloomer, the deep red begonia is a favourite, I like the contrast with the dark leaves.
