My afternoon at Spritzhenry's garden

What a lovely afternoon I have had!

We (my dad and I) arrived around 2.30 after getting slightly lost (AA routemap’s fault – not mine!)

What can I say? Words nor photos cannot describe how beautiful the garden is. I am so in awe and cannot believe how Spritz manages to keep on top of it all.

I did eventually take a couple of photos (felt a bit rude to do so!) but my camera isnt great and they dont really do justice to this fantastic garden

It was so lovely to meet up and Henry is absolutely gorgeous. Barbara made me feel really welcome despite the large amount of people clamouring for her attention.

The weather was perfect and we had a cream tea under the shady pergola, which was delicious. I bought a couple of plants to remind me of the wonderful afternoon I have had

Well done Barbara – it was an absolute triumph! xxxx

Oh Jangue - David has just pointed me in the direction of your blog! It was so lovely to meet you and to be with you and your father for a short while. I am so glad you enjoyed your visit! Thanks for coming and for the lovely comments.

I am also glad you took some photos, as you well know how busy I was answering question after question! How did you manage to get photos without all the people in them??

Fingers crossed for good weather for the 11th now...

GREAT photos Jacque. Wonderful that you and your father were able to visit Barbara's garden. I really wish that I could have been one of the visitors. Your photos were a very nice tour. Thanks :)

I bought a hebe, and a fern, Irish. Just put them on my photospage so any help in identifying them would be great - I am sure Spritz will know :)

The fern would have been from my friend...she normally has labels in the pots?? The Hebe was a cutting from my daughter's plant, it flowers purple but she doesn't know its name, I'm afraid. The Hebe Society website might help to ID it.
