Gosh, water melons sound very exciting! Sorry, I don't know a thing about growing them. Think they need lots of sun and warmth? Good luck with them :-)

Good luck with your water mellons Jacque. I'm thinking of trying Spaghetti Squash this year. It's my favorite squash and would be fun to grow my own.

Hmmmm I wonder if I sit here, just long enough
the birdies will not see me
I know this bin's now clean of stuff
just right for hiding in....see!!
Now if I go to sleep and dream
of birdies singing off key
I might just catch one unawares
to savour for my late tea.
But I can't sleep and it's too hot
the sunshine is too bright
the birds have flown off from their spot
they must have taken fright.
Perhaps they saw me when I yawned
and stretched with much delight
I'll go inside to have a sleep
out of the birdies sight!!! Lindak.

Hi Jacque you have been busy well done should be at work but on duck patrol means get home late but as nesting only feeds once a day.Hope your not on a water meter as your melons and toms going to be thirsty little chaps.Youll need a few canes to support them as they ll soon sprint.

Snails are one of my sworn enemies. As long as they stay out of my garden, I agree that they're kinda cute.
