Earlier this year i Purchased a sad looking little Ceanathus from a B&Q Plant Sale

Iv been giveing it lots Of TLC & its now looking like this :)

A Well spent £2.50 :)

Its doing well, its nice when you plant things and they get there first flowers. i had a huge one years ago in my old house it was a mass of blue..........my little holly bush i planted this year has a few berries on it now........

Looks great Jacque! I love ceanothus...the flowers always remind me of the blue ones in Liquorice allsorts....:))

I love these blue shrubs. They were a plant my father liked and there were not many of those. I have a small one in the garden and I hope it survives the winter. Will you be planting yours in the ground ?

They are such a lovely show of blue aren't they when in flower & if it's evergreen it's a good plant to have in the winter too....it's great that you've nursed it back to life Jacque.

I love them Jacque,got one growing up my fence at side of pond and another which is more the shrub cum hedging in the front garden,absolutely lovely during May/June time when in flower...........

Did ur Dad like Blue Then Hywel? Your so rite Fluff with it being a evergreen its a bonus ;) You Say Flowers May/June Linc but like many other Plants its got flowers now?Nothing Like Good Old TLC Mobee/Amy/Dr :) Its deff same plant Gee :)

It's coming on great, isn't it wonderful to rescue an ailing plant. Ceanothus are my one of my favourite shrubs, I rescued one some years ago and there was no stopping it with a bit of TLC. It grew to about 8' tall even though I trimmed it every year and rewarded me with masses of lovely bright blue flowers every spring. Sadly it blew down a couple of years ago but it lives on in my GoY photos :o)
